"Take this picture of the Blessed Mother and give it a place of honor in your home. Then your home will become a little shrine in which the picture of grace will mediate many graces, create a holy family atmosphere, and form holy family members."
- Father Joseph Kentenich Founder of Schoenstatt
Our 2011-2012 Motto: "Build Family Shrines of Life and Love"
Schoenstatt is a Catholic lay movement that strives to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the example and guidance of Mary, the mother of God. Schoenstatt was founded on October 18,1914 by Father Joseph Kentenich in the little Schoenstatt valley in the Rhine region of west-central Germany. The word Schoenstatt comes from the German for "beautiful" (schon) and "place" (statt).
Fr Kentenich lived in Milwaukee between 1951-1965. Wisconsin has a rich and vibrant history within the Schoenstatt movement.

"We Bring Our Gifts" Appeal Kicks Off!
These are exciting times at our International Schoenstatt Center. As we approach the 100th anniversary of Schoenstatt's founding in 2014, we have grown to a point where we need more space . Our new Schoenstatt Movement hall will help us to continue offering a place of prayer, family love, and spiritual growth to all those who visit our center.
To make this dream a reality, we are seeking your help to fund our new Schoenstatt Movement hall. We therefore invite you to participate in our "We Bring Our Gifts" appeal. Would you be able to prayerfully consider a special gift in support of our project ? Your gift may be given all at once or over the next three years.
This brochure explains our campaign goals. In it you will also find suggested leadership gift ranges that will be needed as we strive to raise our first $1 million dollars. All gifts of all amounts are much appreciated! If you are on our Movement or Rosary Campaign mailing list you will be receiving a packet in the mail in the next few weeks. Packets will also be distributed at all group meetings. If during this appeal you receive our information packet more than once, we ask you to share the extra packet with a friend. Thank you!
Please keep Schoenstatt in your prayers. Thank you for considering our invitation and for your interest in the efforts of Schoenstatt to promote a religious renewal of the world in Christ.
